Godly Science has moved to Wordpress

Because Blogger will no longer support FTP blogs after may 1st I have moved Godly Science to Wordpress. This default theme will soon be replaced by a custom designed theme.

Welcome to our new WordPress site. Because Blogger will no longer host FTP blogs after May 1st I have moved this blog to Wordpress. The default theme will be replaced with a custom theme as soon as it has been developed.

Because Google are not going to support FTP blogs hosted by Blogger after May 1st I have moved the Listening to God blog to Wordpress. The problem with the main site was caused by a server upgrade to PHP5 breaking the code in the pages. It’s now fixed. A new theme is now being built to replace this default Wordpress theme.

The transition from using Blogger.com to building blogs in Wordpress has been interesting. In one sense, using Blogger is so simple if all you want is a basic blog that it temps you to put up with its shortcomings. On the other hand, Wordpress offers much greater control and versatility, but with the disadvantage of a far steeper learning curve. I’m building four different blogs at the same time using Wordpress, and each needs to have a completely different style. I hope I don’t end up with some kind of blend of the four. This is at present the simplest of the four, with few modifications from the default template, but today I was pleased to be able to incorporate my Bloglines favourite blogs feeds.
